Free 11+ preparation planner: dates, checklist and practice tracker (PDF)

The dates and decisions to find out for your area, and a weekly practice tracker. For parents of children in Years 4 and 5, planning ahead for the 11+.

A4 PDF, 3 pages, 324 KB.

What’s in it

Most 11+ dates are set by your council or by each school, so they differ between areas and from year to year. The planner lists what to find out: which test each school uses, who runs it, how places are given, open days, when registration opens and closes, the test date and when results come. There is a table for the schools on your list.

Two dates are the same across England: you apply for a secondary school place through your council by 31 October of Year 6, and councils send offers on 1 March, National Offer Day (the next working day if that is a weekend or bank holiday). The last page is a weekly practice tracker for sixteen weeks.
