A4 PDF, 2 pages, 682 KB.

The first page of the Verbal reasoning: the alphabet and codes.

What’s in it

The first page is the alphabet to keep beside you while you practise: every letter’s number counting from A and back from Z, the anchor letters E, J, O and T, counting the jumps, going round from Z to A, the vowels, all thirteen mirror pairs that add to 27, and how letter sequences work.

The second page cracks the codes: letter codes with every move written in, mirror and backwards codes, number codes, letters for numbers with the order of operations, and letter pairs. Every example is worked in full, using the same methods as Rush’s verbal reasoning guides.
