Free Year 4 area and perimeter worksheets (PDF)
Area and perimeter on squared paper, then perimeters of rectangles. For Year 4, ages 8 to 9.
What’s in it
The first worksheet has rectangles and L shapes on squared paper: count the edges for the perimeter and the squares for the area. The second works out the perimeters of rectangles and squares from their sides, and a missing side from the perimeter.
Perimeter is the distance all the way round the edge; area is how many squares fit inside.
