Free angle facts cheat sheet for KS2 and the 11+ (PDF)
Turns, the names by size, estimating and using a protractor, then every angle fact with a worked example and its trap. For Years 3 to 6, and for the angle questions in 11+ maths.
What’s in it
The first page is about what an angle is and how to measure one: quarter, half and whole turns, clockwise and anticlockwise, compass turns, acute, right, obtuse, straight and reflex, estimating, reading the right scale on a protractor, measuring a reflex angle and drawing an angle.
The second page has the angle facts, each with a worked example and the most common mistake: angles on a straight line, round a point, vertically opposite angles, triangles, isosceles and equilateral triangles, quadrilaterals, finding a missing angle one fact at a time, and polygons. Every angle is drawn at its true size, and every year group comes from the national curriculum.
